The next few days were uneventful. The couple continued going back and forth between awkward moments and wanting to rip each other's throats out.. It seemed like things were getting worse every day…
It hilarious to think how hard they were trying to fight the inevitable. It was even funnier to think about how miserably they were failing.
Part one of the glorious honeymoon planned by both their respective parents had come to a close. Now it was time for part two…
A little trip on an exclusive island. For a whole month.
"Ugh, could they be any cheesier? _________ groaned. She tried to act pissed, but really she was terrified. A lot could happen between them in a month, especially given the setting. She had to admit, they were pretty slick. She hated it.
"It could always be worse."
_______ was prepared to challenge that accusation, but she remembered a certain song from a Christmas movie from her childhood and suddenly, she didn't feel like it. She just hummed the song to herself. (AN: If anyone knows what song I'm talking about, or at least can BS like they do and put a link, that person gets a request. Or anything else they may want within reason)
He looked slightly annoyed at her sudden change in mood. She did that a lot, he noticed. He didn't like it; it made her unpredictable.
Not really feeling like continuing this fun conversation, Arthur took out his own i-Pod (or zune, or mp3 player, or whatever y'all want him to listen to) And began to sing along with the song
"Look at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And everything you do,
Yeah they were all yellow,"
_______'s eyes suddenly widened and she pulled his earphones out of his ears.
"H-hey! What'd you do that for?"
"I. Hate. That.Song. If you wanna listen to it, fine. But I don't wanna hear so much as a note! Got it?!"
Arthur swore he could see the flames of Hell burning in her eyes. But there was something else there too; something he couldn't quite place…
"Fine, whatever." He conceded, turning the volume down a little. She's so weird, he thought.
Then a devious smirk came across his face. He had an idea of how he was going to get back at her for how bad she was treating him.
The two had reached their little island, their stuff close behind. They unpacked a little. Well, at least __________ did. _______ seemed to be looking for a particular box.
"Hey! Quit messing around! This stuff is taking up space."
"I'm looking for my guitar."
"Can't you take care of some other stuff first?"
"But I have a surprise for you!"
She blushed a little, before getting a hold of herself. "What, you gonna serenade me or something?"
The devious smirk returned to his face. "Something like that."
She sighed. "Whatever. I guess I'll just unpack twice as much to make up for your crap."
She left him to do as he pleased. When he finally found his guitar, he called her back.
"Hey! I found it!"
_________ groaned and made her way back into the room he was in. "Okay, I'll bite. Let's hear this song you're dying to play."
His smirk grew to Grinch like proportions as he began to play the first few notes of Yellow and began singing the lyrics. As expected, she was pissed, at first ordering him to stop playing the song.
Then she just told him.
Then she pleaded with him.
But of course, he was having too much fun knowing he was getting under the girls skin. He finished the song, feeling pleased with himself.
"Now you know how bad you've been annoying me these past few-"
He was interrupted by a rather harsh smack to the face. He finally looked at her, shocked.
She was crying.
"Y-you insensitive asshole!!!"
"Well the Hell is your problem?! It's just a bloody song!"
"Not to me it isn't!"
"What are you talking about?!"
She fell to her knees, sobbing, unable to answer for a little bit. She wiped her tears and calmed down enough to say.
"That song… the first time I heard that song is when I played it on guitar hero with my stepsister. It was my first time playing that game and I didn't know I had to press down that little tab, so I didn't get a single point. She laughed at me, but I was still happy… I was still happy because finally, we were getting along."
"That doesn't explain why you're so emotional! And since when do you have a stepsister?!"
"I don't! Not anymore, at least. She's… she's dead. She killed herself."
Arthur's eyes widened and his heart sank as she continued.
"When my dad and her mom first got together, me and my siblings were more mature about it than most kids. I can't speak for them, but for me, if my dad was happy, I was too. She reacted more a regular kid would; not really accepting us. Playing that song with her… that was the first time that I felt like she liked me…"
"_-_____..."
"So yeah, you hurt me. Good job! I hope you're proud of yourself." She stormed out and headed to the bedroom.
Arthur sat there, dumbstruck. How the hell was he supposed to know that?! Why couldn't she have told him?! He ran a hand down his face.
He would have to fix this, wouldn't he?
_________ heard a knock on the door.
"Go away."
Arthur blatantly disobeyed her request and walked in the room, sitting next to her.
_________ quickly sat up, ready to fight. "Are you hard of hearing? I said-"
This time she was cut off, but not by a slap to the face.
He was hugging her.
"I… I'm so sorry…" He mumbled, sounding like he was choking on his own sobs. "I didn't know… please forgive me…"
_______'s eyes widened before closing as she sobbed into his chest.
"You idiot…" She choked, not really meaning it.
He continued to hold her until she finally calmed down, leaving a huge wet spot on his shirt. Under normal circumstances between the two, this would've pissed him off.
But right now, all he cared about was making sure she was okay.
"H-hey… Arthur?" she finally managed, wiping some tears away.
"Yes?"
"About that whole 'truce' thing…"

Gone: EnglandxReader
“Why?!” England sank to his knees, once again reliving the moment when America left him. Everyone left him. Every last one.
The rain dripped down his face, but he couldn’t feel it in the dream. He just stared up at the heavens and watch the dream rain mingle with dream tears on his skin.
Honey.
Your voice rang out, strong and beautiful.
Love, wake up.
He clenched his eyes shut, knowing all that awaited him was more pain. But England cracked open up one eye anyway, finding your shining (e/c) eyes staring down at him. “Honey, are you alright? You were almost yelling in your sleep.”
England moved and hugged yo

EnglandxReader: Another Try?
My head went blank and everything in my vision swam. It was if I was slowly losing feeling starting from my fingers and my breathing was rapidly increasing. No. No, I can’t stand to go through this again. I gently set the plastic on the white porcelain of the sink and rested my head in my hands. I swallowed and tried to breathe evenly. I just had to wait until Arthur got home and then I would talk it over with him.
I stood up, trying not to think about all the sad, negative thoughts running through my head. I swept the plastic into the trash can and walked out of the bathroom. I ignored the stinging in my eyes and walk

How It Really Happened - EnglandxReader
"Nope."
"God, no."
"Terrible."
"Terrible...er."
"Even more terrible-er."
"Terrible-er isn't a word, love." Arthur said as he came into the room and found his girlfriend staring furiously at her laptop's screen. "What are you doing?"
________ sighed, before closing her laptop and setting it to the side. "You know how Japan made that anime and manga series a while back, about all of us? You know, the countries personified as people?"
"Yes."
"And you know how it's gotten oddly popular, despite the fact that each episode is only like, five minutes long and the manga is kind of hard to follow?"
"Yes."
"And you know about that website I l

omg you guys. I cried writing this.
This whole thing, with the song and guitar hero and the stepsister and all... that all really happened to me. I heard the song on the radio last night and I got the inspiration for this chapter.

Suicide is never the answer, people. Please; you never know how many hurt people you leave behind.
Because I guarantee you, if my stepsister did, if she saw the number of people who went to her funeral, saw how big the line was to walk up to her casket and say their last goodbyes... she wouldn't have done it.
Anyway, this chapter's a little bit shorter. hope you guys don't mind, and I hope you liked it (even if it was kind of sad)
