On why she is a poet

Because it's in her name; and though I'll always Revel in the memory of her calling burnt wine a goddess, I have no doubt she is Brighid incarnate, her Desire to live among the Gods and Goddesses is homesickness, her 'Eternal flames' the way her words reach deep inside and burn but leave room for   Thought in their place

Divorce

7 years old My dad calls me and my siblings to the living room Where he and my mom sit, smiles on their faces That, looking back, I'm not sure were genuine anymore My dad asks "Imagine we moved to an island with two tents; One with your mom, and one with me. Which one would you like to live in?" I don't know much but I know I don't like this question So I answer "I would put the two tents together so we can all live in one big one!" Because that's the only answer that doesn't leave my tongue With a foul taste, like when I somehow got soap On my Ringpop My parents smile, but I know my imagination isn't welcome on this imaginary isl

I AM LOCKED - EnglandxReader

Given the circumstances, being woken up by the sounds of an electric guitar -maybe, you weren't terribly knowledgeable with these things- violins, and a piano, all playing together in a not unpleasant, but not exactly pleasant melody was a bit of a shock. The circumstances, of course, being that the only logical explanation for this noise was your dear friend, Arthur Kirkland, had woken up. Not too surprising on its own, except for the fact that anything louder than a whisper should be murder to Arthur's head right now. Arthur had once again overdone it with drinking, and you had taken it upon yourself to bring him home. It was foolish, rea

Psychiatric Ward 2P!EnglandxReader Day 4

Today was going to be a very sad day. The 3 most fun people were all going home today; Celia, Deb, and Kitty. It was going to be so boring without them! The instant they left, their absence was felt. Everyone was still friendly, but it wasn't the same… You all decided to watch some movies. You felt awkward watching some of the more romantic movies (I'm sure you all know the feeling, right?). Part of you worried (and hoped) Arthur would be affectionate again during this parts. But he seemed to be in the depression half of his Manic Depression today. You learned that and OCD were the reason he was here yesterday during a meeting. You

Psychiatric Ward 2P!EnglandxReader: Day 3

You slept only a little better that night. You still had the battle with the nurses leaving the door open, and you heard the voices again, but overall you felt like you were getting used to things. You were now halfway through your stay here. It was bittersweet; you were happy to be almost done, but you really enjoyed everyone's company too (especially Arthur's). They were really nice to you, after all. But then you got out of bed this morning. There was a new patient in your group this morning, named Jenny. She was from the um… lesser functioning side. Apparently one of the male patients tried to touch her inappropriately on that sec

Writer's block

The pencil lies idly next to the notebook. The icon on the computer screen blinks almost in a mocking fashion, the keys gathering dust. That notebook is opened to a fresh page, not a letter or eraser shaving on it. That computer is opened up to a new document, again, no words on it, not even the use of undo or redo as a sign that maybe something was once there. And there's not a damn thing I can do about it. I can think of few things in this world that are as frustrating.
